Quick Tips: Linda closed her Somerville storefront in early 2012, but as far as I know, she is continuing her wholesale and catering business. (I hope she continues long enough for me to order a wedding cake from her!) The summer before I moved to Somerville, I began cupcake questing around Boston, and then I stumbled on The Chocolate Tarte, just a short walk away from the apartment I’d be moving into in September. All other cupcakes were quickly forgotten; Linda’s mini cupcakes were the epitome of everything I wanted from dessert, from the moist bittersweet cake to the heavenly buttercream frosting. Everything else was fantastic as well, particularly the namesake chocolate tarte.
