Quick Tips: While I haven’t yet written about or photographed the market, I’m a frequent visitor, and it would be a shame to omit it from this collection. It’s thrilling to have a farmers market that continues through the winter – and even more thrilling that it’s walking distance from my apartment. While the space can get rather claustrophobic on busy days, it’s an incredible asset to the community. You can find everything from fruits and vegetables to cheese to chocolate to wine. A recent trip netted a hunk of aged local cheese, a bottle of sparkling apple ice wine, a fresh apple cider doughnut, porchetta ravioli with fennel and chili, and assorted greens. Hint: Show up early to get a doughnut. They run out quickly.
